The JETAA UK website is shortly going to undergo a complete redesign. If you have any comments on what you'd like to see on the new site then please post them here.

Great to hear that you're going to be making changes to the website. Here are a few suggestions from me, in no particular order:
-
Resolution - it looks like the website was designed for 800x600 screens but technology has moved on a lot and it now looks tiny on my 22 inch widescreen, so I would suggest a bigger size
-
Navigation - the top bar is not very intuitive. If I want to see the Events calendar, I need to click Events then Events Calendar or if I want the discussion forum I need to click Members then Notice Board. Why not have it so when I click Events, I get the calendar up immediately; when I click Forum, I get the discussion forum up immediately?
-
Notice board - the format of these notice boards is very old fashioned. How about getting the very common format of php bulletin boards? The type I'm thinking of is the one in use on www.ithinkimlost.com - it's very standard and most people are familiar with the syntax.
-
Jobs - I think this bit of the site doesn't need changing too much. No need to start categorising things into job area, location etc because there aren't too many to sift through anyway.
-
Local sections - How about having a page or two which could be edited by the local JETAA sections (north west, north east, scotland etc)? At the moment it's not clear that there is much going on outside London.
-
Updates - I don't know about you but I tend not to trust the information on a website if it hasn't been updated recently, so after the redesign it's important that somebody (or more than one person?) is regularly updating the site with news, new events, jobs etc.
That's all I can think of right now - hope that helps! :)

Thanks - great comments, several of which refer to things that we were looking at doing anyway so it's nice to know that they ARE what the users want! Anyone else?
