GREAT FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES NOT TO BE MISSED! Just back from the 2010 Conference for Returning JETs held in Yokohama where I gave a presentation titled Graduate Studies in Japan and attended the information fair as a representative of Doshisha Business School and was prompted to pass on information regarding funding opportunities for the Global MBA programme at Doshisha Business School. It’s that time of year again and recruitment for September 2012 entry will open in a few months. Since the previous post two ex-JETs have joined the Global MBA and another two plan to enter in September 2012 which I think shows that this course can be a valuable option for those seeking a postgraduate qualification in business and management, and who are keen to return to Japan to develop their careers. Both received some form of funding (one received the prestigious MEXT scholarship) and are looking to advance their Japan/East Asia focused careers.

We are also in the process of fine tuning the curriculum to allow for greater opportunities to study in depth about the relationship between culture (particularly Japanese popular culture), marketing and new models of business and management.
