On a blustery November morning we arrived at the Sugden sports centre in Manchester to set up our JETAA stall at the Doki Doki festival, a festival which celebrates both traditional and modern Japanese culture. Our spot was right in the heart of the entertainment and helped us forget how chilly it was outside. There was everything from Taiko drumming to performances on the koto, dressing up in kimono to five minute manga sketch competitions. The main focus though was on the cosplay outfits. There was an enormous range on show which certainly kept all the stall holders entertained!
