Thank you to all the volunteers that helped out at the Japan Matsuri 2012. It was fantastic to see such a huge turn out of Londoners that are interested in Japan!
This year the Matsuri was held in Trafalgar square. The organisers expected 70,000 visitors, but with the beautiful sunny weather, it seemed like far more than that. In addition to the JETAA stall, there were plenty of food and gift stalls, performances and we even saw some ex-JETs take part in nodo jiman (Japanese karaoke competition).
Lots of former JET Participants stopped by the stall to say hello - it was great to see so many ex-JETs enjoying the Japan Matsuri. We also spoke to many enthusiastic people that are planning to apply to the JET Programme in the future and we wish them all good luck with their applications.
