The Foreign and Commonwealth Office report that Foreign Office Minister Jeremy Browne met with current participants of the JET Programme during a recent 3-day visit to Japan.
Mr Browne's visit aimed to boost business ties, meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry. In Osaka, he met with participants of the JET Programme, as well as Japanese investors, researchers and academic representatives.
Speaking during his visit, Minister Browne spoke about the importance of UK-Japan relations. His visit follows a two day visit in July by Foreign Secretary William Hauge.
