Thursday 31st March: Fundraising at Meadows Shopping Centre - this is an ethnic art, craft and music event. - Further information here.

Saturday 2nd April: JSNI will be collecting at the Craft & Gift Fair at All Souls' Church, Belfast. We will be making paper cranes and handing them out to members of the public. - Further information here.

Saturday 2nd April: At Carrickfergus, at the Carrick Civic Centre - This event will showcase aspects of Japanese culture, all with the express aim of raising money to help with the relief effort in Japan. Although not part of the JSNI's Red Cross Appeal this event is being organised with help from members of the society and JETAA NI. - Further information here.

Sunday 3rd April: At Tower Shopping Centre, Ballymena - Once again we will be making paper cranes and handing them out to members of the public. - Further information here.

There are also plans to hold other collections on Saturday and Sunday in Belfast and Bangor, but we are awaiting confirmation from the approached venues. Details will follow when and if applicable.

Please note that all fundraising is on behalf of the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal. This is one of the charities recommended by the Japanese Embassy and is directly supporting the Red Cross in Japan.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members for their help and support at this busy and difficult time. The significant efforts you have made are greatly appreciated and the help is tangible and real. Thank you.

    With best wishes,

    Elaine Mulholland,
    JETAA NI Chair
