During 2009/10 JETAA adopted Room to Read as their nominated charity. JETAA UK collected donations at our Careers Information Day, JETAA Ball and the International Meeting. In total £234 was raised. Thank you for all of your generosity!
Room to Read is an International non-profit organisation dedicated to helping children in the developing world gain the lifelong gift of education.
Since 2000, Room to Read has created educational opportunities for more than 755,000 children by partnering with local communities to build schools, libraries, computers and language labs, and through book donations, bilingual children's book publishing and girls'.
They currently work in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Laos, Nepal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Zambia – with plans to expand to bring educational opportunities and resources to children throughout the developing world.
