London AGM Report

The London Chapter of JETAA met for our Annual General Meeting on Sunday 19 February at Daiwa House on Sunday 19 February. The AGM is an opportunity for the committee to come together to discuss the events of the past year and our goals for the upcoming year. It is also a great opportunity for JETAA members to become more involved in the committee and shape the future of JETAA events.

After discussion of the events held during the 2016-2017 year, the committee decided that our focus should be on providing social opportunities for our members. The pub socials and karaoke nights have all been very popular, and we aim to expand that with pub quizzes and the continuation of our newly established book club. The goal is to organise at least one social event per month in different areas of the city to try to serve as many members as possible.

We also confirmed our committee for 2017-2018, as below.

Chair: Margaret Mann

Vice-Chair: Liz Wharmby

Comms Manager: Isabella Besong

Treasurer: Francesca Kilpatrick

Events: Clare Nicholson, Carly Scothern, Ryan Keeble, Kay Webber

After the meeting, we all visited the exhibition “2s, 3s & 4s” by Natsuko Seki currently being organised at Daiwa House.

If anyone wants to join the committee or get involved in JETAA London events, please email Margaret at londonchair@jetaa.org.uk.
