London Has Launched a New Book Club
In January, JETAA London launched a book club for JET alumni and friends. Unlike traditional book clubs where everyone has to buy the same book, the JETAA Book Club is like a "show and tell"—a place for people to share their favourite books without opening their wallets. Each month we choose a theme and everyone brings a book to share with the group
For our first meeting, we met at the Bike Shed Motorcycle Club in hipster central Old Street. Sitting in overstuffed leather chairs and sipping coffee (and a bit of prosecco) we all introduced our favourite books. I was really interested in the various genres everyone chose.
Here are just a few of the books we shared:
Across the Nightengale Floor, by Gillian Rubinstein
Nella Last's War, edited by Suzie Fleming and Richard Broad
PS I Love You, by Cecelia Ahern
The 4 Hour Series, by Tim Ferris
Ready Player One, by Ernest Cline
I came away with some great new ideas for books to add to my reading list (as if I need more). Next time, we will focus on the genre Thriller/Crime on 26 March. You can read a new book or bring one you've already read to share with the group.

Hope to see you there!
